Events Diary

ALWAYS CONTACT THE DIVE MANAGER BEFORE GOING ON THE DIVE / EVENT.

For most day dives it is alright to call up to a few nights before the event to let the Dive Manager know you are interested in an event. However if the boat is being used on a day dive it is best to give at least a week's notice. For club trips it is best to register your interest as soon as you possibly can - most weekend trips fill up very quickly and organisers need to know numbers to book accommodation etc. For some of the more popular or exotic trips we may have to book up to 12 months in advance to get space so it is essential to make your intentions known sooner rather than later!

Club equipment is available on loan to club members. A £5 deposit (refundable) is required. Anybody requiring diving equipment for pool use must give the Equipment Officer at least 1 weeks notice as only pre-booked equipment will be brought to the pool. Anybody requiring equipment for open water must also give the same notice. This equipment will be available to pick up from the pool on Monday nights only, and must be returned the Monday following collection.

Photography - the club reserves the right at all times to prohibit the use of photography, film or video at any event or activity with which it is associated.

You can download this list either as a pdf, or a word document.

If club members have any problems with reading these files please let me know. We also try to keep an up-to-date copy on the club noticeboard at Heysham pool.  For details of training courses also see the courses page.

IMPORTANT - Can dive managers please forward dive logs to the dive officer as soon after the dive as possible.  Any incident should be reported to the dive officer urgently once the immediate needs of managing the incident have been dealt with.

Please bear in mind that weather forecasts may affect plans for diving in the sea.  Sea diving is by nature weather dependant, therefore sea dives may need to be cancelled or changed because of the weather.  Also on occasions we may try to arrange sea dives at short  notice.
